tHIS SUMMER I WANT TO STAIN THE EXTERIOR OF MY LOG CABIN. The cabin is over 100 years old. I dont think the exterior has ever been stained, to my knowledge anyway. My question is, can i use deck stain to do the exterior. thanks

I would not recommend it. If it has never had stain you may wantto apply a couple of coats of Shell Guard borate treatment to help stop rot and bugs. If you do want a color it should be corn cob blasted, borate treated and stained with a goodquality log home stain likePerma Chink Life Line.
