Last year I bought a log home that was built in 1986. The man that built and lived in it was an older man, and put siding on the exterior to protect the logs. I took the siding off and I got a Sikkens stain. It was supposed to be a natural finish, but it dried very dark. I just put one coat. Any ideas why it dried so dark? I am using a tan colored chinking. I am afraid it won’t look right with the stain color.
