I have a yellow pine log home from Southland Log homes in the NC Mountains on the New River. I am preparing to restain it (home is 4 years old) for the 3rd time. The last 2 applications were with Wood Guard (terrible product and nasty stuff!). How should I prepare the logs and siding? What is the best cleaning solution? Do I have to remove the old stain? Thanks!
