I have a log home (kit style with 6” x 4” logs). The exterior needs staining and after reading different replies, I think I may have made a mistake! I used a stripper to remove the old stain, then I sanded the entire exterior. Unfortunately, when I used the stripper, I had to rinse it off with water. I’ve been told by the local paint store to also use a ”brightener” this means more water. Am I in trouble because of the water? Also, any suggestions as to what I should use to fill in know
