Removing Bark from Sugar Maple Log with Burl

I would use a spud tool. This is similar to an ice spud which could be used. Also try a simple chisel and hammer. If this is a winter cut log it will be very hard to remove. Do not attempt this during freezing temps, the bark will be very hard to remove.
