I am considering purchasing a log home from a friend of mine. He built it in 1978. It’s deminsions are 98’X23′. Over the years with repeated stainings the exterior has turned a very dark black. I was told that lighting the appearance would be impossible b/c the stain absorbs deep into the logs. Is this true?
