We purchased a pan abode in Washington’s Okanogan region and it has a dryer vent that was cut through the side of the house. We need to move the dryer and we’re wondering the best way to fill and patch the hole.

That’s going to be a tricky one if you want it to look “original.” If you can get your hands on a piece of log then you could fill it in and caulk around it. Otherwise, a cedar board cut to fit and insulation behind might work. It’s not a real easy fix unless you have the correct size log and can cut in a piece to match. If you are looking for a quote for that type of work you could try a log repair company in your area however I would guess it’s going to be really expensive.
