We have a cabin with 1/2”*10” hemlock siding with a 2” gap between each board. The original builder filled the space with glued on foam board insulation cut into strips then painted over with a textured paint. The foam board is starting to fall off in places and needs to be fixed. Should all the foam board be removed and use chinking or is there a product to put over the foam board to re-seal the house?
