Can Sherwin Williams Woodscapes Latex Stain Be Used on Log Homes?

We have used it a few times but mostly the solid color which holds up very well. The semi-transparent doesn’t seem to be as good. The problem with it is when you have to do maintenance coats it gets darker and darker loosing the original color over time.
