the back wall of my log home is bowing out, about 5 inckes now, what is the best way streighten it back. i have put 4×6 post under the main beams inside, to take some of the weight off the wall

There could be a number of reasons this is happening, and solutions to resolve this problem. A structural engineer should be hired to get involved. Putting the post underneath the main beams is just a start and a good start to help support the wall for the time being. The problem could be from numerous things. Are there rotted logs? Was there improper building techniques? These are really questions for the engineer.
