Hi, we’re restoring a 140 year old log cabin that our great-grandparents built .. has a beauitiful grey patina plus some brown as it was covered with board and batton so was well protected. Today, we just cleaned it with log wash and next week plan to use the borate solution. We don’t really want to stain it as the colours are beautiful as is but would like to apply a clear coat and then then leave it alone. What would you suggest? Thank you.
