I have a log home made of western red cedar. Yesterday I power washed half the house and today I read that you say I should wait 4 weeks before staining. Would this also be true if I sanded the house and then washed it? I am going to use Permachink products and they say it breathes. The problem is that it rains so often here and we have a good weather window. Also the logs are bare on the interior.

Depends on how hard you power washed it. If you were right up close pressuring water into the wood fiber, then yes, you need to wait for it to dry. Yes, Perma Chink Life Line will allow the logs to breathe, but not the amount of moisture that power washing puts into the wood.
