I want to stain my interior, Eastern White Pine logs a medium walnut color but I’m worried that the stain will make dark streaks when it touches dark grey parts of our pine. My builder suggested bleaching the dark spots but he also told me they are part of the wood, not mildew, so I’m stumped. What can I do for a relatively even interior stain finish..prep and stain? Thanks.
