We own a 25 year old log home which we built. It’s time once again to wash and seal the exterior. Is there anything we can use(besides the bleach water, etc) that removes mold, etc. that won’t come through the logs? We’ve pressure washed 2 sides with excellent results on the exterior, however we had some leaks and it’s making more work than we anticipated! Hoping there’s something that works without the pressure…
You are probably getting the mold from the power washing and not allowing to dry properly before apply stain. If you are getting water inside that tells me that it should be caulked or chinked on the exterior. You may want to consider having it corn blasted and starting over with fresh coat of stain and get rid of the mold under the existing stain.
