We have an exposed deck which is subject to a lot of wear and tear due to our weather. We would like to preserve our exposed logs by putting a cap on them. This would lengthen the life of our exposed logs. Would you recommend covering the log posts and/or is there any negative impact on the log by covering the top? Is there a supplier that you know of that has post caps?
