Afer reading many of the posts in this section I think we have a case of the Powder Post Beetle. We salvaged an 8 foot long piece of spruce with the bark on it (14” diameter) to use as a support post in our new sunroom. The tree has been laying on the ground in the pasture for at least two summers. We brought it into the house in December, and recently we started seeing small piles of very fine shavings on the ground and very tiny flies on the windowsill in the morning. We have been spraying
