I am corn blasting my log home and have 2 opinions. 1st contractor will corn blast then take out old chink and replace with new chink. 2nd contractor will corn blast then go over old chink where it is necessary. Who is correct?

90% of the time you do not have to remove the chink. you might have to remove the really loose portions and fill in with Grip Strip or knock back any rough edges. If you are going to pay to remove it, it should be done BEFORE the corn blasting. That way you will not have to worry about covering areas that did not get blasted when the new chink is applied.
