Our new home has fir beams by the front porch and back patio and pine T&G under the eaves. We chose Sikkens Log & Siding in Dark Oak but after 2 coats it looks lighter than expected. We’d like a darker stain with less of the red undertones. Will adding 1 or 2 more coats help achieve this? We also looked at preferred colors in SW Woodscapes but were told Sikkens would be less maintenance. Any suggestions on what we can do now?
