Our log home was built in 1986 of square white pine logs. They were never treated and have greyed over the years. We have just added an addition which looks the same except the new logs are of course the whitish in colour. Two questions…is it Ok to never treat the logs and is there any sense in trying to remove the grey from the original logs and then let it all age more or less equally…if so, what is the best way to remove the grey??
