We are completing new cypress log home. We have wood bees starting to check us out hot and heavy but biggest problem is birdnests already forming in ledge of deck. OUr framing for porch deck (upper) is made of 8 x 8 cypress square log which makes 200 feet of ”hidden home” for the birds, they are perching on ledges and making mess…help! Someone told me if we could get creosote (which we cannot) it will deter rodents and birds but not hurt them. Anything else? I saw bird spikes but seem cos
