Yes. First be sure there is no rot. If there is it should be repaired first. It should be wrapped with Tyvek, fir stripped to plumb and level and apply new siding.

It sounds like the logs are warping. If you are concerned about the wall integrity you should contact a structural engineer. Most steel and lumber yards have one on staff.
