When they are freshly harvested, not a problem.
Find a log home company that makes homes similar to your type of construction and get a price to build it over again.
I would recommend having a structural engineer look at it. Most steel and lumber yards have one on staff.
Not sure what they are recommending, but do not go cheap. I recommend Life Line stain from Perma Chink.
