you need to caulk all exterior chink lines and corners with Energy Seal. You can get Energy Seal by calling Timeless Wood Care at 800-564-2987.

Walk down each log with a hammer and tap on it. If you hear a hollow spot discard it or at least that section of the log. You will save yourself a lot of money and time down the road.

Appling a borate treatment over stained logs will not work. You need bare wood to get the best effect. You most likely will be wasting your money if you try to apply it over a stained log. It should be striped and then applied.

Sounds like you need to completely chink or caulk the exterior of your log home. Call us if you need help with this.
