You can’t. I would advise stripping the home and start with a fresh surface. After 8 to 10 years it is always recommended to strip.
The pressure washing is probably what is causing the peeling. I’m guessing it was not allowed to dry for a good long time prior to staining. I would recommend removing it all and start over. Power washing is cancer to a log home. Dry logs are happy logs!
depends on what kind of stain you use. As long as you can’t smell it you should be good.
Sanding will be the best way, but if the stain is so deep into the wood fiber you may never get them to the color you desire. Changing them out would be the next option.

It would be fine. A little accent color always looks good if they go together .
I’m sure it will look fine, but it will be a pain for maintenance later on.
