Not sure. If you are not going to put a finish on it you could try bleaching the heck out of it.
You can, but I would recommend using a latex product. Perma Chink makes interior stain and clear coat that will give you the same effect. Call 800-564-2987 to purchase most any kind of interior stain for log homes.
Yes you can. I would recommend brushing it. Plan on it not being unlivable for a few days until it dries and the smell goes away.

My favorite is Sequoia. Has a nice rice look and really brings out the wood grain.
