I wouldn’t recommend it. If you spray it on the logs and then want to apply fresh stain it may not allow the fresh stain to adhere to the wood. ??? I would think the smell would stop me from this application! Cannot be real enviromentaly friendly either.

Call Timeless Wood Care Products at 800-564-2987. They can help. I would think that you could put the Perma Chink Advance Gloss over it and it would be fine.

I would recommend a light sanding to help open the wood grain to except the stain more evenly.

Try washing them with warm water and TSP. Rinse with clear water. If they are really dark, you may need to sand them to get back to the natural color.

Perma chink makes a product called Wood ReNew that you might try.I would not recommend using polyurethane. You should use latex interior products made for log homes.
