I have an eight year old square log home. I recently noticed that there is a gap in the top of the dining room window and under cabinates. Whicte foamy morsels have been periodically dropping from these gaps. I am wondering if a critter has disturebed some insulation put around these areas. Should I chink around the interior window and cabinate? Does this white foamy stuff sound like insulation…It squished down in my fingers. Also, is there a certain type of chinking safe for indoors…I

Yes, I would chink these areas in. All latex chinking is safe for interior use. Not sure what the foam is, but sounds like some sort of insulation.
