Our hoe was originally built in 1850…with hand hewn logs and original chinking. Parts of the chinking were replaced in the 1980’s with the original mix of portland cement, horsehair, clay etc. We are wanting to patch interior walls where some of the chinking is starting to crumble. What is the best breathable patching method. We have used thin set but I wonder if there is something more appropriate and breathable.
