My wife and I are building a log home in North Central Ontario (Algonquin area). The logs are hand hewn Eastern white pine, 8” thick, and vary from 14” to 18” in depth. The chink gaps are filled with expanding foam, and will be finished with Permachink. I plan to build a false wall inside the log wall in the kitchen area, from which to hang the kitchen cabinets.
