We have a cedar half log sided home. The contractor stained the logs with sherwin williams woodscapes, two coats. There was no top coat applied as sherwin williams said that is was not required (and the contractor wasnt about to absorb the cost of another coat). Thus the 2 sunny sides of the house have a good portion of the stain baked off. We are ready to clean and restain these two sides and would like to add a topcoat this time.
