we had an unscrupulous contractor put lime plaster and in some places drywall mud between ceiling boards in an old barn. Nothing was placed on the wood to give plaster a ”tooth”, of course, now the plaster is falling out of the gaps between boards in chunks. Dry white powder is also falling out and dispersing. I imagine the lime in the plaster is not healthy to inhale and we are trying to figure out a solution to this. One handyperson has told us to leave it, as removal will be difficult, anothe
