We have a 2 year old log home that we did not build, but bought from a previous owner. We have had a terrible infiltration of ladybugs and wasps over the last 5 months. We know there are crevices that the builder did not seal well. We are contemplating getting it sealed and caulked. What is the difference between using a ”log home” caulk and seal vs the best Lowe’s has to offer with their caulk and seal? There is a big price difference. Love this site.
The log home caulk is made to expand and contract with the movement of a log home. Most general homeowner caulks get too stiff or hard and the seal will break allowing the bugs, wind and water to enter. Energy Seal made by Perma Chink is one of the best.
