Many cedar fence posts in our GA mountain home have chinks in them. What can I use to fill these prior to staining? Will they need to be sealed prior to staining?

Do not fill them unless you know they are allowing wind water or bugs inside. If you fill them and do not maintain them a couple of times a year they will cause the logs to rot over time.
