I built a log home 2 years ago with 6×12 square logs.It has the chink groove cut into the logs only 1/4 inch deep by about 2 inches. I have a wrap around porch so I’m not worried about any moisture getting on the walls. I am considering painting the chink groove with an exterior paint.Is this ok or should I use something else.It is white pine and has been stained.
