We live in a house that was built in 1924. It is made with whole logs and mortar type chinking. We are getting ready to restore it. We have about 6 half logs that have rot in them and the chinking is falling out in places. Should we use that wood rot repair or cut them out and replace them. Also, should we take out the chink and replace it with the newer modern chink? Thanks for your time
