im building a stacked log home and was told by the one miling my logs 10×10 that i should cut stress lines every so often in the logs should i ?and hould i put any type of insulation or foam in between the stracked logs? there getting stacked green..tks

First, DO NOT stack them green! They need to dry first or you will have major settling, warping and shifting problems when it is built. There is no reason to make stress cuts on milled logs. The old timers used to do it on logs that weren’t straight enough to be used in construction in the first place. They do make a ”stacker” caulk for construction that goes in between each coarse. Also would recommend caulking or chinking the exterior. (3/4” or less-caulk / 3/4” or wider-chink)
