I have half-log tongue and groove pine siding in my living room. It was initially stained a cedar color with transparent stain and I don’t believe a sealer was applied. The color is much too orange and I would like to go a more light chocolate brown color. Has anyone done this before? Any tips/tricks?

You will likely need to sand it down and restain in order to get the color you are looking for. You could try to stain over what you have but keep in mind, certain stains do not mesh well when applying over an existing stain. You may want to consult with your local stain or paint shop to see if the products you are using can be applied over one another.
