Hello. I am putting on pine log siding with a hand hewn finish in Wisconsin in late Sept. Do I need to let the siding dry before I put on Permachinks water based Ultra stain? Should I treat for the potential ”mill glaze”? Or do you think it would be better to put a preservative on and wait till next year to stain? Thanks !
