I own an old barn built in the 1840’s I believe.
It is double pedistal in design with a tongue and groove dog trot (?) between the pedistal. That floor has since rotted into dirt. The hay or wheat was brought into the middle loose, then forked into the loft above with animals below. The gaps between the logs average 3” to 4”s. I would like to convert one of the areas below the loft into a tack room to house the horses tack.
