I am building a log cabin with Oak logs. Many of the logs have tiny crack by the hundreds. most cracks are less than a 1/16 inch wide very few cracks are over an 1/8 inch wide.
I used Perma-chinks ultra7 stain and clear top coat expecting these cracks to seal up.
Yesterday was the first hard rain since I stained it, water is coming through the logs. In some cases directly through a log and in other cases it comes through a log and travels between logs until it finds a way out into the house
