Our log home is built with tongue-in-groove logs which sit flat on each other with afoam gasket seal. The seal has deteriorated so we need to caulk or chink, also around all windows & doors to fix a couple of water leaks. Then we would clean the logs & stain. The gaps between logs are at most 1/4”. What material do we put in here to seal? Can you suggest a contractor in southern NH who does this kind of work?

You need to clean the logs first, and then caulk the chink lines with Energy Seal. You can then stain and clear coat. Call Mike at 866-670-3020 for help and a quote.
