We just purchased a log home that was built in 1999. We are planning on restaining the outside. The exterior has not been stained since being built and there is an addition that has not been stained at all. I was wondering what the best way would be to go about refinishing our home.

You need to prep the surface properly to make it last. If there is any of the original stain left you should either remove it or use the same kind. Be sure to wash it with Log Wash at the very least.
