I am building a new cottage in NC. One of the rooms will be made to look like a square log cabin. I intend to use i” thick planks spaced with 1.5” wide strips of wood 1/2” thick. I then want to fill the remaining 1/2” space with cement as chinking. Will the cement stick?

It will at first, but as the wood dries and the house moves it more than likely will break loose. You should use the Perma Chink Med. Gray that looks like cement.
