Have a log home about 15 yrs old and was never sealed between each log. Called a contractor and he wants to use dap silicone/ latex sealant. Would this be good or is regular chincking better? Would the latex crack and separate after awhle. Thank you Donald

Donald:
NEVER use silicone on a log home. It never makes a good seal with the wood and will fail quickly. You should use Energy Seal made by Perma Chink. Call Timeless Wood Care Products at 800-564-2987 for more information.
