WE HAVE A NEW LOG HOME CONSTRUCTED ONE YEAR AGO AND HAVE DISCOVERED ONE WALL HAS A SLIGHT 1/4 INCH BOW IN IT…CAN YOU ADVISE AS TO WHAT IS CALLED A ”MECHANICAL LOG” WITH VERTICAL PLACEMENT AND SCREWS THAT CAN BE INSTALLED TO BRING THIS WALL BACK INTO FORM? THANKS FOR INFORMATION ON HOW TO REPAIR THIS AND WHERE TO FIND SUCH A PIECE THAT CAN BE INSTALLED TO THE WALL?

I have never heard of this ”mechanical log”. I really wouldn’t worry too much about a 1/4”. You should probably have a structural engineer look at it.
