I have a milled log home that has no chinking. Recently I notice a gap between the logs with some air coming in. How would you fix this problem?
Most kit style log home manufactures claim their homes are chink-less, but over time most will need to be caulked on the exterior 100%. Around all doors and windows, in between ever log and log end seams, along foundation and where the logs meet the soffits. Do not fill the checks (cracks in the log) unless they are running into a corner, window or door jamb and allowing wind, water or bugs to get inside. Call Mike at 866-670-3020 for an estimate.
