Looking at a 17 year old Gastineau log home in Missouri, vacant for past 3 years. Major concern is a 12ft long verticle angle iron brace attached to south exterior wall attached with lag screws. Would this be a ”fatal flaw” or was this an poor man’s attempt to suck up a bowing wall? Can send pictures. Some settling in upstairs farmebuilt area, 1 3/4” slope from centerline to front of bedroom. Thanks You!
