My Father in Law has an old home for about 70 years has been covered with clap board and the logs of the original house are in excellent shape. my question is that recently the clapboard was removed and also the roof was removed exposing the logs. What can I do to keep the logs in good shape until we are ready to rebuild the cabin. Thank You Roger

Make sure the roof is no leaking. If the house is not living in, cover the bottom 8 feet with house wrap with boards attached to secure the wrap.

Keep the log DRY!
