We live in a log home that was built 22 years ago. We bought it 5 years ago and at that time we knew it needed to be stained so we have done it twice. We are looking for a good quality stain that goes on with one coat and has a long lasting life to it. What would you suggest?

There is no one coat stain that will work well. Perma Chink’s Ultra 7 is a one coat stain, but needs a clear coat over it and you should strip first. The longest lasting stain would be a solid colr stain. I recommend Sherwin Williams Woodscapes. Still needs two coats.
