I’m a first time home buyer and am looking at a log home built from a kit back in 1978. At first glance the place seems to be in good shape, but what should I take a closer look at? IF I buy the home what would you suggest to do right off the bat to ensure a longer life for the home. Specifically kind of finished or seal could help with heating? Should I make sure to recaulk from the inside?
